Stratify-Hip was conceived by Dr Katie Sheehan, a Senior Lecturer and UKRI Future Leaders Fellow in Health Services Research/Rehabilitation at King’s College London. The algorithm was developed and validated by Dr Aicha Goubar, a Research Fellow in Medical Statistics at King’s College London. The plan of analysis was informed through consultation with clinicians and academics namely: Dr Salma Ayis, Professor Nadine Foster, Professor Celia Gregson, Professor Finbarr C Martin, Professor Catherine Sackley, and Professor Nicola Walsh. Patients and their carers were consulted through the public and patient involvement group TROOP –Trauma Rehabilitation (Orthopaedic) for Older People. The web-based tool was developed by Dr Orouba Almilaji, a Research Fellow in Medical Statistics and Data Science at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
